Grandpa and Me
Taken from a young girl’s perspective, this grandfather and granddaughter enjoy a ride down a suburban American road. With my father in mind, I took this picture as a gift to someone very special. I added the use of digital paints to enhance the storytelling of this scene. It reminds me of the days when I was learning to take direction from my daddy and comprehend the stories he told me of his childhood.
Learning to ride a bike is like a rite of passage for so many children. When they can learn from someone special like a grandparent or a parent it strengthens the bond that continues to grow as they do.
