Lily Pad Lake (Aerial View)
Among the mystical and often rocky mountains of southern Connecticut, lie beautiful rivers best seen from the mountains peak. Though not the official name of this river, I liked calling this forest landscape, Lily Pad Lake. The lily pads you see when your eyes draw down to the river have covered nearly the entire body of water.
This is a common occurrence in the summertime. However, the serenity you feel from the forest greens above and blossoming water lilies below can help even the most weary soul find hope and light.
