Majestic Sunset Over Winter River
The beauty of this winter scene is in the sunset overlooking the island off Quonset Bay. When you think of Winter weather in New England, you may think of perfect scenes of snowbound skaters on frozen lakes. However, the beginning of winter up North is not about perfection. The mountain of mellow colors of the majestic sunset on that day gave this photograph a naturally perfect landscape; while the Atlantic Ocean in the foreground creates a scene of quiet serenity. The island set towards the right of the scene is claimed by two fishermen finishing a long and cold day’s work.
