Winter Water Rainbow
You never know what you may encounter when hiking in winter. The ice in the brook you see in this photograph was part of a larger stream that was trying to flow under the pressure of ice. The rocks in the foreground, housing the icicles reflecting the sun’s own reflection in the water, create a surreal rainbow.
